ABOUT ZEBRA CME
Medicine teaches you the horses.
We built a home for the zebras.
Independent CME — built by clinicians, for clinicians.
______________
WHY WE EXIST
Zebra CME is a mission-driven platform built to elevate independent medical education — supporting clinicians on both sides of the equation.
For learners, that means on-demand courses on topics that matter clinically but don't always make it into standard curricula — developed completely free from industry sponsorship, and priced to be genuinely accessible.
For faculty, it means a platform that recognizes the expertise and effort behind great education, and gives educators a real stake in what they create.
Physicians and other clinicians give an enormous amount of themselves. We think that deserves to be supported — on both sides of the podium.
It's a modest mission in the context of a complicated system. But we believe that elevating the people who teach medicine, and making that education more accessible to the people who practice it, is always worth doing.
OUR MODEL
Our curriculum is driven entirely by clinical need. Every course reflects a topic we heard about from clinicians in the field — the questions patients are asking, the conditions that sit at the edges of standard training, the knowledge that may not have a natural home in traditional CME.
Faculty who create content here have a real stake in what they build. We believe great education should support the educators who make it possible — not just the platforms that distribute it.
We're growing thoughtfully. If there's a topic you think deserves a home here, we want to hear from you.
Rare doesn't mean unimportant. It means underserved.
THE FOUNDER
Zebra CME was founded by Maria Robinson, MD, MBA, a board-certified dermatologist and dermatopathologist. Over the course of her career — as a clinician, medical writer, and educator — Dr. Robinson became increasingly convinced that independent medical education deserved a better home: one that prioritized clinical relevance over industry influence, and that actually gave back to the faculty who make great education possible.
She started Zebra CME because she believed something better was possible — for the clinicians who teach, and for the ones who learn.
Dr. Robinson also founded Dermpath for Advanced Practice Clinicians, holds a certificate in integrative dermatology, and is the co-author of The Holistic Psoriasis Management & Nutrition Guide. She has been an active leader in nonprofit and philanthropic work focused on community health and education.
